I started my writing and publishing adventure more than three decades ago ( the story here ) writing mystery and thriller novels. I wrote romance novels, mathematics books, poems collections, short stories and in the later parts of my life, a number of business books. I also worked as a journalist for a local newspaper ( story is here )
Granted, I have not succeeded in every single one of them, but I have enjoyed every single journey.
Until now, I had never written anything in the comedy genre.
I was afraid of two things (a) nobody will laugh and/or (b) everybody will “laugh at” what I create.
But, as a teacher I tell whoever is in my class that they have to embrace the unknown. So, a few weeks ago, a student asked me to give me an example from my own life. While I got away, with a few linguistic skills — confusing him more than convincing him and he too pretended that he was convinced of my answer. So, there it was — a phantom settlement of the issue.
After a few days of reflection, I called the student and apologized and promised him that within thirty days, I will do something that I am totally uncomfortable (and mega scared) and show it to him.
well, today is Day #15 and here I present my very first comedy ATTEMPT. I know most of you might “laugh at” this, but I have to keep my promise — however scared I am about it.
